Smoky Tomato Soup

Ok guys, I actually have a new favourite tomato soup recipe, Smoky Tomato Soup, and it’s SO easy to make at domestic. This smooth tomato soup has been on normal rotation at our residence this wintry weather because it is made with simple components and it’s a success with the whole own family, mainly when served with a grilled cheese sandwich. You can’t move incorrect with tomato soup and grilled cheese. Classic consolation meals!

Ingredients
  • 1/2 lb thick-cut bacon, diced
  • 1 large yellow onion, chopped
  • 2 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 tbsp Tabasco® Chipotle Sauce (non-obligatory)
  • ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Steps
  1. In a dutch oven, prepare dinner bacon over medium warmth, until crispy. Transfer to paper towel lined plate. Do no longer drain fat.
  2. Add onion and garlic to pan and prepare dinner till mild brown and soft. Add butter and tomatoes.
  3. Bring to boil, then lessen to a simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Using an immersion blender, blend to desired consistency.
  5. Stir in milk, paprika, pepper, and either salt or Tabasco sauce. Bring to boil. Then put off from heat.
  6. Stir in cheese. Serve with reserved bacon on top.
